3 Months Old

Preston is getting so strong. He is really pushing with his feet and sometimes he has even turned himself 90 degrees in his crib, when he is not in his sleep positioner. He was sleeping quite well during the night, only waking up once, until teething hit. Yep, it looks like he is going to be an early teether like Hallister. Preston's first tooth has been working its way in and broke through his gum yesterday. He tries to suck on his hand all day. Thankfully he has not had a fever yet but we can tell it bothers him. Orajel and Tylenol seem to help so he can at least get some sleep. Maybe we will have a break before the next one comes in.

Preston has 3 distinct cries - scared, in pain, hungry. I try to catch his signs for hunger before he cries. The one for pain we have not heard except for when he got shots and now with the tooth. The scared cry is the worst, very shrill. A lot of times he will startle himself.

Preston loves to be held looking out at the world. He is fine sitting in his swing but seems to enjoy being held more these days, now that he is teething. It is obvious who Preston takes after with most of his features when Jonathan holds him. Those gorgeous blue eyes and his smile just melt my heart.
